In 2013, Growing the Pie meetings were held in five locations across Massachusetts for an important discussion about how all nonprofits are affected by the state budget and the current discussion around revenue reform. Attendees learned how budget cuts have resulted in the inability to meet our state’s critical needs; discussed ways we can be effective spokespeople for our organizations and constituents; and strategized how to mobilize the nonprofit community around progressive revenue reform.
