Programs and Services Manager

The Massachusetts Nonprofit Network (MNN), a statewide membership association, is the voice of the
nonprofit sector in Massachusetts. MNN is dedicated to supporting the nonprofit sector through
advocacy, public awareness, and capacity building. MNN has 700 member organizations representing
every region of Massachusetts and every part of the nonprofit sector.
The Programs and Services Manager plays an essential role in leading, managing and developing MNN’s programs and member services. The Manager directs and executes strategy, operations, and logistics for member engagement programs, including MNN’s Nonprofit Excellence Awards event, the annual Conference, the Light of Dawnn awards, and regional meetings.
Work Location and Flextime:
MNN employees can currently work from home full-time (and most are doing so). They also have the
option of working in the MNN office at 2 Atlantic Avenue in Boston on days of their choosing. If pandemic conditions were to improve in the months ahead, MNN may at that time institute a one-day-per-week in the office policy. MNN provides all employees with a flextime policy that applies equally at home and in the office.
Reports To:
Chief Executive Officer

  •  Lead the planning and execution of MNN’s annual conference, including conference goals,
    workshop selection, venue details, vendor relations, event registration, and day-of logistics
  • Identify and prioritize options for new MNN programs that help nonprofits grow, learn and
    strengthen their civic networks
  • Manage MNN’s Nonprofit Excellence Awards, including recruiting and communicating with
    judges, nominations and selection of finalists and winners, and leading planning and execution
    of Awards event
  • Navigate potential changes to MNN events (in-person, online or hybrid) as pandemic conditions
  • Lead the planning and execution of regional meetings, including theme design, venue details, vendor relations, event registration, and day-of logistics
  • Plan and facilitate MNN’s monthly webinars in partnership with affiliate organizations
  • Work with the rest of the staff to coordinate planning, execution, and follow up for other programs and events
  • Manage MNN’s sponsorships, including designing sponsorship packages, setting sponsorship goals, and coordinating delivery of services related to sponsorship
  • Identify, research and prioritize prospective new member services to help nonprofits grow along with associated revenue opportunities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience organizing and running events
  • Excellent follow through and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to a high level of customer servic
  • Experience with Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with Salesforce or another database management service
  • Ability to take initiative and work both independently and collaboratively
