Marketing and Communications Coordinator

Position Status: Full Time
Reports To: Chief Executive Officer

The Marketing and Communications Coordinator plays an essential role in leading and executing strategies that communicate MNN’s work to key constituencies, engage MNN members and contacts, and help strengthen the Massachusetts nonprofit sector.

MNN employees have the option of working from home or working at the MNN office at 2 Atlantic Avenue in Boston on most days of the week. Employees are required to work in the office on at least one day per week. MNN provides all employees with a flextime policy that applies equally at home and in the office.

Minimum Salary: $55,000 plus benefits

Essential Job Functions:

Marketing

  • Lead and execute MNN’s digital marketing strategy, including the production of electronic newsletters each month, the coordination of regular emails to various audiences, and the growth of MNN’s subscriber lists.
  • Drive MNN’s web presence via website strategies for presentation, access, and navigation. Support the development of web materials by collecting information and coordinating web tools. Create primary landing pages and microsites for key events and initiatives.
  • Coordinate event promotion and help drive attendance for a variety of events including webinars, trainings, meetings, and MNN’s signature events throughout the year.
  • Compile content and increase audience engagement on MNN’s social media channels.

Communications

  • Lead the development and execution of communications strategies that strengthen MNN’s presence with key constituencies, including members, prospective members, supporters, the media, government leaders, and civic leaders.
  • Cultivate and manage press relationships to ensure coverage of issues of strategic importance to the nonprofit sector, as well as of MNN’s programs, publications, and other projects.
  • Drive communications and marketing initiatives to raise awareness of the nonprofit sector and enhance MNN’s brand across key stakeholder audiences.
