Featuring Rosabeth Moss Kanter
Rosabeth Moss Kanter holds the Ernest L. Arbuckle Professorship at Harvard Business School where she specializes in strategy, innovation, and leadership for change. She is the Chair and Director of the Harvard Advanced Leadership Initiative: a collaboration across Harvard’s professional schools to help successful leaders at the top apply their skills to addressing challenging nation and global problems in their next stages of life. She is the co-founder of consulting group Goodmeasure Inc., where she was able to partner with IBM on applying her leadership tools from business to other sectors. She is the Senior Advisor for IBM’s Global Citizenship portfolio.
Rosabeth Moss Kanter has been repeatedly named to lists of the “50 most powerful women in the world” (Times of London) and the “50 most influential business thinkers in the world” (Thinkers 50). She has received 24 honorary doctoral degrees, as well as numerous leadership award, lifetime achievement award, and prizes for her 18 books and articles. She advises CEOs of large and small companies and has served on numerous business and non-profit boards. She speaks widely, often sharing the platform with Presidents, Prime Ministers, and CEOs at national and international events. Before joining the Harvard Business School faculty, she held tenured professorships at Yale University and Brandeis University and was a Fellow at Harvard Law School, simultaneously holding a Guggenheim Fellowship.

Tiffany Cooper Gueye, Ph.D., Chief Executive Officer, BELL
Tiffany started her career at BELL in 1998 and has served in a variety of roles including Program Manager, Director of Evaluation, and Chief Operating Officer, Field Operations. Through her leadership, BELL’s models and evaluation methods have been nationally recognized as best practices in expanded learning programs. Tiffany is a recipient of Boston College’s Donald J. White Teaching Excellence Award and served as an instructor at Johns Hopkins University. She holds a B.A. in Psychology and a Ph.D. in Educational Research, Evaluation and Measurement, both from Boston College. She also sits on the board of the Center for Effective Philanthropy, the knowledge advisory board for The Bridgespan Group, and the advisory board for Results for America.
George Overholser, CEO & Co-Founder, Third Sector Capital Partners, Inc.
George Overholser was a member of Capital One’s founding management team, and was the co-founder of North Hill Ventures, a Boston-based venture 
capital firm that focuses on early-stage financial and marketing technology firms. But for the last 12 years, he has committed himself to the social sector. In 2007, he founded NFF Capital Partners, which helped 16 high-performing nonprofits to secure over $300 million of philanthropic growth capital. The portfolio has grown its programmatic output five-fold since the investments were made, while also markedly improving metrics of financial sustainability. In 2010, he co-founded Third Sector Capital Partners, a leading nonprofit innovator in the Social Innovation Finance that specializes in Pay for Success and Social Impact Bond transactions. George is a frequent speaker and writer on the topic of innovation in nonprofit sector finance, having been covered in The Wall Street Journal, The Economist, Business Week and New York Times. He graduated from Harvard College with a degree in Physics and a MBA from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business. He serves on the boards of Vistaprint, Ltd.
John Werner, Head of Innovation & New Ventures, MIT Media Lab
John is an innovator, mobilizer, and human super connector. He is constantly building community 
and believes wholeheartedly in 21st century collaborative creativity in innovating with direct human
or environmental impact. In his role at MIT Media Lab he supports developments on new imaging
platforms, and developing hardware and software technologies to augment human vision. John is
also currently the Project Innovator of The Camera Culture Group at MIT Media Lab. John is one of
the founding members and former Chief Mobilizing Officer & Managing Director of Citizen Schools,
a leading national education initiative that mobilizes adult volunteers to help improve student
achievement in underserved communities by teaching skill-building apprenticeships, redefining how
learning happens across the country.
