We are a public service, research, and economic development arm of the University of Massachusetts. Our mission is to apply theory and innovation to solve real world challenges and enable our clients to meet their goals. UMDI’s areas of expertise include nonprofit organizational development, community mobilization and sustainability, communications, fund development and grantwriting, financial/fiscal management, economic and public policy research, program evaluation, crisis response – and more. We serve a range of clients, from small nonprofit organizations to large global corporations, as well as coalitions and advocacy groups, municipalities, federal agencies, and school districts.
