Job Description

Wayside Youth & Family Support Network is seeking a Site Director for our very busy and ever-growing Lowell Community Services site. The Site Director is responsible for the oversight of all daily operations of programming at the site. This includes management of a talented and committed multi-disciplinary staff who provide a range of community-based programming for youth and families through the Children’s Behavioral Health Initiative (CBHI), Department of Children and Families (DCF), and Department of Mental Health (DMH).

Key components of the Site Director’s role include:

  • Maintaining financial knowledge and oversight of all programming;
  • Continuing to grow and retain a strong and diverse staff team;
  • Supervising directly, and/or ensuring proper supervision is provided to all program staff;
  • Working collaboratively with the community to meet the behavioral health needs of children and families in the Greater Lowell area;
  • Developing proposals and implementing programming for new or expanded services;
  • Maintaining close relationships with key constituents including, but not limited to: DCF, DMH, MassHealth, school systems, law enforcement, juvenile justice system, primary care providers, other behavioral health providers, etc.;
  • Ensuring adherence to key program tenants as it pertains to mission, quality, risk, financial, and strategic.

The ideal candidate will have strong familiarity and ties with the Greater Lowell community, significant knowledge and understanding of wraparound systems of care, trauma informed approaches, and experience working with the Children’s Behavioral Health Initiative (CBHI), Department of Children and Families, Department of Mental Health, the educational system and the juvenile justice system.

The position requires independent licensure in social work, mental health counseling, or marriage and family therapy and a minimum of five years of management/supervisory experience. It also requires a driver’s license, reliable automobile and clean driving record.
