FOUR PAWS is an international animal welfare organisation with Headquarters in Vienna, Austria, and has offices in more than 10 other countries world-wide. Founded in 1988, the organisation strives for improvements in animal welfare through sustainable campaigns and projects. FOUR PAWS focuses on animals that are directly under human influence, for example farm animals, companion animals and wild animals kept in captivity. FOUR PAWS aims to help animals in need directly and quickly. 
                                                                                                      
FOUR PAWS USA is now looking for a Junior Accountant & Administrator in its Boston, MA office.
The Junior Accountant & Administrator contributes to the sound management of the charity by maintaining the daily accounts in Twinfield and by providing administrative support with payroll, HR and IT. 


Duties: 
·       Perform general ledger accounts analysis and reconciliations, including bank statements.
·       Maintains systematic, accurate, and timely processing of all accounts payable including, but not limited to, vendor invoicing, vendor payment, pre-payment requests, W-9 information and vendor files.  
·       Identifies and investigates any issues with vendor invoices and obtains mutual resolution of discrepancies.  
·       Oversees employee benefit plans including health insurance and retirement funds.
·       Prepares and manages weekly payment run.  
·       Prepares biweekly payroll and processes the payroll journal entries into Twinfield accounting system
·       Acts as point person for managing IT inventory and schedules IT support as necessary.
·       Assists in preparation of month-end close
·       Assists with annual financial audit
·       Manages credit card processing
·       Manages employee expense reimbursement processing and payment
·       Ensures the confidentiality and security of all financial files.  
·       Manages stock of office supplies and place orders when necessary.
·       Responds to inquiries via phone and email
·       Performs miscellaneous duties as directed 
 
Essential skills / experience required: 
·       Associate’s/ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
·       Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping, accounting, payable and receivable principles
·       Experience in Accounts Payable
·       Experience with accounting software programs;
·       Strong PC Skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
·       attention to detail and follow-through
·       Strong organizational skills.
·       Ability to create and maintain systems that enhance organizational efficiency.
·       Ability to meet deadlines in a timely fashion.
·       Ability to work autonomously as well as take direction as needed
·       You will have strong team working skills, be able to use initiative and be a problem solver.  
·      Willingness to potentially travel internationally once a year
