The Catholic Charitable Bureau of the Archdiocese of Boston is seeking a full-time Stabilization Case Manager for the St. Ambrose Family Shelter located in Dorchester, to join its team of dedicated professionals.
The Stabilization Advocate is responsible for the oversight, planning and implementation of the shelter stabilization program for St. Ambrose Family Shelter, while providing supervision to direct care employees, interns and volunteers. The Stabilization Advocate will develop and maintain relationships with landlords, management companies and public housing departments to ensure that other housing opportunities are accessible to Catholic Charities events. The Case Manager will plan and conduct initial visits and assessments to former residents and maintain contact on a monthly basis or as appropriate. The Stabilization Case Manager will also be required to participate in program on call coverage on a rotating basis as needed.
Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree or actively working towards a degree in Human Services or related field.
A minimum of four years of prior supervisory experience is essential.
A minimum of 2 years of experience working in a group residential setting.
Experience with de-escalation skills, CPR and first aid is preferred.
Competent Internet and computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office and Outlook.
Strong organization and interpersonal skills with attention to detail.
Must be able to push, pull, bend and lift up to 25 pounds.
A Massachusetts driver’s license and access to a vehicle required are essential.
