The Community Foundation is looking for an experienced, community-oriented accounting manager to oversee critical daily operations for our finance team.   The successful candidate will be team-oriented, analytical and result-focused, with the initiative and ability to identify opportunities for process improvement while delivering excellent results. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Accounting Manager leads daily accounting operations and reporting, including oversight of various journals, the general ledger, accounts payable, grant and gift processing; investment valuations; accounting updates for managers, committees, Trustees and donors. Other duties include cash flow management, asset rebalancing, management of processes and related documentation, budgeting, audit and tax filing preparation.

Requirements include: a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, a minimum of five years of relevant experience, knowledge of computerized accounting systems, Excel and relational databases. Other key credentials include: experience with nonprofit accounting and knowledge of GAAP accounting principles, nonprofit tax filings and financial record keeping.  A strong commitment to diversity, inclusion and equity is critical to the mission of the CFWM.
