Introducing MNN’s New CEO

MNN is excited to announce that Jim Klocke will join the Massachusetts Nonprofit Network as Chief Executive Officer in mid-October, just in time for our annual conferenceJim Klocke

The process was led by an fantastic search committee that had representation from across the state, issue areas, and nonprofits of all sizes. Amidst lots of incredible interest, with the support of Third Sector New England and the leadership of committee chair Jennifer Ryan of the Trustees of Reservations, the committee carried out an extensive process that surfaced a leader with the experience, perspective, and passion to lead MNN in service to a thriving and innovative sector that is the backbone of the Commonwealth.

Jim was previously the Executive Vice President of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, where he directed the Chamber’s advocacy and economic development initiatives. He led the Chamber’s work on the state’s groundbreaking health care reform laws that expanded access to healthcare for MA residents, minimum wage legislation, and legislation that strengthened schools and improved educational outcomes across the state. His successful legislative and economic efforts, more than two decades of leadership at a membership-based nonprofit, engagement on nonprofit and community boards, and passion for communities across Massachusetts, position him to serve as a unifying champion for the state’s nonprofit sector as a force for social good and economic growth.

As CEO, Jim will provide strategic leadership to ensure continued impact of MNN and the benefits we offer, further the recognition of the value of nonprofits in Massachusetts, and serve as a voice on behalf of MNN’s hundreds of members as well as the thousands of nonprofits across the state.

Jim joins MNN at a point when the organization is stronger than ever. Founded almost a decade ago, MNN has evolved to meet the diverse needs of Massachusetts nonprofits, while remaining committed to its role as the only statewide organization dedicated to uniting and strengthening the entire nonprofit sector through advocacy, public awareness, and capacity building. Jim will build on MNN’s momentum and lead the organization as it enters a new and exciting phase.  MNN has grown rapidly-and we can grow more.  Our strong network of remarkable partners and members, our accomplishments, and our vision set the stage for MNN to increase its support of the sector in the years ahead.
